Hey guys. Just got a 2002 Alero today. I used to have a 98 neon which I did a lot of modwork on (mostly visual).
Just wondered if anyone had suggestions where to start and what to read and good sites to find tutorials and some do's and don't of Aleros.
Also, Alero has squeaking sound in front right tire, dealer put in writing he will have it fixed. Just wondered if this is a known problem, I might be able to point him in the right direction. I want to make sure he fixes the problem and doesnt hide it only to have it re-surface. Its seems to be a common problem, from the research I have done. Anyone found the source? Its at 39,000 miles right now.
Thanks.

Wow, I feel special already!
Thanks for the warm welcome.
From looking around I can already tell this is a friendly board and not full of uptight people who are going to flame you for asking questions and having sensible debates.
Well first I start off with the cheap/simple/quick mods and work my way up as I gain more knownledge of my car's quirks and interior/exterior design. (any suggestions)
I am having trouble locating a model number for a compatible wire harness and in-dash conversion for my head unit.
Perhaps you guys could tell me what you have used?
Thanks.

no solutions?
all the harnesses for oldsmobile that I find list all the oldsmobile models on there accept the alero. I am wondering if the same part for the intrigue would work since they seem to have a lot of similarities.

lol ask this question in the Audio/video section. A ton of people don't read the new members section....
I had mine done at soundtrack, I don't recall which wiring harness they used
