Aight, since its official that motor mounts aren't really available to us, this is the next best thing to stiffening up the motor.
I got the tranny mounts from Karo from Jbody, they were designed for the jbods so there is some modification to get em in.
so far all i've gotten to is the front mounts, fairly simple, just get them out, some prying and pulling wil get the old inserts out of the mount, press the new inserts in.
As for the necessary modifications, grind down the pin a bit and bore it out just a bit as well, not sure what the exact number were, i did have them but its not that bad! Once all the mods are done just reverse and install.
Don't ask me how they feel or perform cause i have no clue, cars still the garage and will be there for while! I assume they will feel similar to before, since i had already poly filled them in before. Compared to stock i would assume it should have more vibrations but trust me it makes a big difference.
For the rears not sure what you need to do yet, but i'm sure its similar to the fronts.
One day when i get my car running i'll let you guys know!
Hope that helps somebody! B)

i wonder if the manual and auto tranny mounts are the same?
i know the 3400 mount works on the 2.4 with auto. but it is pricey.

Olds I think there is a difference b/c they specify that it is for the 5spd's. Not 100%
I should figure out this rear tranny mount thing this week for sure b/c i gotta take my block out! :(

Ok if anyone is still interested in this, here's what i got...
They FIT!
but.....
Your gonna need to modify the steel sleeves that come with the tranny mounts. When you go to order the mounts (from Karo) get 2 front tranny mounts, b/c the cavalier rear tranny mount metal sleeves are just a bit too skinny, so if you get a front tranny mount from Karo it will be wider, then you can modify it to make it match the factory width. YOur still gonna need to bore out the opening but thats not a big deal (easier if you have a drill press!). The bushings are the same size so that won't matter if you order 2 fronts!
hope that makes sense if not let me know.

Yeah its for the front circular/round mount and yeah its more or less up front by the starter.
The mounts are made by Prothane, i got them thru Karo and the part numbers are...
Front 7-514
Rear 7-515
Hope that helps

bore it out to 94 mm, get 3500 upper and lower intake manifolds and throttle body, port it all.
should put you at about 210(crank) hp with just CAI.

yeah do what your doing just make sure that you do get the Clevite 77 main and rod bearings (they are freaken sweet)
ALso, do the ARP Head Stud Kit, they are so high quality its not even funny, i got mine direct from ARP, its was quick and easy. If you do decide to go with the ARP talk to Cathy, real nice lady she'll take care of you.
other than that i think your on the right track! need anything let me know!
Oh yeah, the tranny mounts both front and rear ran me about $50, so i'm gonna take a wild guess ~$25 for the fronts!

if you are going to do boost i recommend the ARP head kit. now if you are doing the bottom end also then get the main kit also.
for N/A applications the stock bolts wil hold fine.

Not really sure how much they cost me yet, b/c they overshipped me a bunch of parts so i gotta wait for the refund, bout ~$150 is my guess. just for the head studs, as for the mains, i didn't do it cause well there expensive and kinda overkill! talked to karo bout it and he kinda agreed, if you plan on running super boost than yeah.
just like oldsman said, if your boosting i would recommend it cause your already putting so much money into it already so you might as well do it right.
either order them direct (cathy) or Karo! Either way it gets there quikly!
