Rims

my alero is black. I think i'm going to get hyper black rims. What does everybody else think. Black, chrome, or hyperblack rims???

I gotta agree.. The black on black looks pretty good but it really just depends on what style you get.

man those hyper black rims look good.......dont get black, some cars can pull of black on black with a chrome lip, i just dont think ours can.......chrome always works on a black car, they will stand out like a sore thumb......

pictures don't do hyperblack justice. I really like hyperblack rims, but I like chrome even more. Hyperblack isn't black like you might think and it is shinier than gunmetal paint/powdercoating.

not many cars can pull of hyper black rims, but everyone has them........very very few cars that have them look good...

is that your old car formula? photoshoped black? the tires look kind of small, what are they?

it's youngbloods car, with my wheels.... photoshoped, and probably closer to 17's than 18's

I'd say chrome, but you gotta have something else chrome too. Otherwise its just like nice rims on a poopy car. If you ain't got more bling i'd say stay with the black, cuz if you get curbraxh on chrome (like i do), then there's nowhere to get em fixed cheap, and your gonna be stuck with em forever. And go with 18s!

I'm going to make my decision this next week on what i get. If i can go bigger than 18's i might. But it's a toss up between hyperblack and chrome. I'm looking at the motegi ff6 in hyperblack. But i'm going to go to the wheel shop and look at their chrome racing rims and see what i can do. looks like lots of chrome fans......lol

Well last week i fianlly chose. I went with 20" black with a chrome lip and now installed. Sorry no pics yet.

^----yeah, what Jonny said. :lol: I'm definately partial to gunmetal or hyperblack on a black car, hence why Form's chop of his rims on my ride. However, I'm kinda looking forward to the Springtime, so I can be sporting the chrome I've invested my scratch in. ( Thanks again, Stephen. :thumbsup: ) for those of you who need a pic of a nice example of chrome on a black 2 door, heeeeeeere ya go. This is kinda what my ride will look like once Spring hits, only my ride'll be lowered 1 1/2" - 2", and my headlights are different. **NOTE** If the owner of this car has objections to his photo being used, please let me know, I'll pull it immediately.

True black looks good on black cars, but personally dont care for in-between shades.
