Ok I popped the cover off but they are not 194s. I havent taken them out yet but I'm sure theyre 212-2s like in the dome.

they're not 194's, but they're the same thing.
there are like 4 bulb numbers that are basically the same. i put 194's in mine, and they worked fine. i had to use needle nosed pliers to pull them out.

not physically. physically 194 is way off. But that asides, I think 3 leds per will do. Might not be to easy getting them in tho.

I have a 99
And rev, I was thinking of something like this, with a small perfboard of 3 leds in series (somehow)affixed between the cylindrical contacts of the 212-2 with pos wiring wrapped around one contact and neg. wrapped around the other.

Yeah, I went and double checked. The bulbs in the mirror are the same as the dome light. Weird that they would change that from 99 to 00.

Spring Break! ...has given me time to do this:
Well, the 99 gls mirror bulbs are def 212-2's. Rev, I just have your simple, basic Leds so I affixed some stripboard to the 212 contacts (I shattered the glass/filament out) and well you can pretty much assume how the Leds are going to go.

remove the shifter, shifter bezel, and pull out the radio bezel, and you'll see how to pull out the bulb on top of the cubby.
