Is It Worth It?

hey guys,

wondering what everyones thoughts are.

I currently have an 04 alero which I am putting about 35,000 miles a year on it, until it falls apart. I have a long daily commute.

I am considering doing a few minor things to it, such as paint the headlights, tint the windows, OSV stickers and maybe a dual exhaust.

Is it worht doing it? or just a waste of money. It' snever going to be a show car, or be lowered with a kt or anything like that. And iwth the milleage im putting on it, it just seems kinda silly to even do anything to it?

Ive got cleared lights, tint, and exhaust, and I'm rackign up the miles on it. im not sure when they start to crap out, but im at 85k and ive only had to fix the mani gasket twice. Other than that, it was just little stuff.

My 'ho is a daily driver, and gets quite a beating. I have rims for summer and tint, but that's really about it. I think it's worth it just because I want to enjoy it. I wouldn't do anything more than that though. Hell, I haven't even fixed the hugs ass dent in the front.

I don't have much but my alero is my daily car and I only add things to make the ride more enjoyable. So If anything I would go with rims and tint and maybe a radio. And since you travel long distances just make it an enjoyable experience.

stickers give you what like 20 more hp?

well a type-s sticker would typically give you around 32 hp, at the crank, so that's what, 28.2 at the wheels with 15% drivetrain loss.

It ALL depends on how much you enjoy the car dude.....If you want a little more out of your ride, then do it. The only way to justify the things we do to our cars is the pleasure we recieve from having it done. ( well, unless your Silent, or Crazytaxi, or Redog, etc. etc. ) The point is, if you're part of the general population that doesn't bracket race, or show your car, it all comes down to pleasure. Well, that and being able to have a nicer Alero than the next guy in the parking lot. :lol:

I think I may do a couple of small things to it, just to make it look a bit nicer and set it apart a bit.

if I wanted to race, I wouldnt take my alero. I'd take my camaro z/28 :)
