Have had replaced: feul pump & filter, plugs and wires, idle air control motor, ignition module, and still having the same problem? Car hesitates and wants to stall but actually won't. Also does'nt act-up every time I drive it either. Some times it is worse than other time too. Engine light is on and occaisionally blinks. Trac light is on and security light comes on and off too. Computer problem maybe? Any suggestions or solutions would be appreciated. Spent $1200.00 on trying to get it fixed at a local shop till they said they give up and to try the dealer, cant afford that route though!!!

What codes have they pulled from the computer? That should point you in the right direction.

$1200 at your local shop? you would have been better off to go to the dealer to begin with..

where is the iac motor?? and yea you would have been better off at the dealer, and you could have also done most that stuff yourself, besides the fuel pump everything is relatively easy.....

get your money back, cancel the payment on the credit card, whatever. they should not just be doing trial and error fixing at a shop at your expense.
i had the same problem and i only had to clean the idle air control motor. have you tried cleaning the engine out? get some GM top cleaner and spray it down the throttle body to clean all the carbon out, while its running.
bigD the idle air control motor is on the back side of the TB on the 3400, there are 2 torx screws holding it in, t20 i think. from the back it looks like a motor casing (it is :P) kind of like a black cylinder. kind of a pain to get a torx screwdriver to take it off.
i had bad surging, on de-acceleration the RPM's would keep dropping down to like 500 to 1100 then 450 to 1050 then 400 to 1000 then it would stall, but it would idle just fine once it came to a stop.
also, go to checkers or autozone, they'll scan y our car for free and tell you why the check engine light is on, the shop should have done this to begin with.
