i noticed today, that driving at 80 mph, which is the normal highway speed here, the hood seems to get a little floppy in the front, so i went went a little faster, well then it gets real floppy, do i have to pin this hood for safety? has anybody else noticed this? is there another remedy to this besides slowing down? you drop below 80 on ih37 and your gettin run over!

I would be safe and secure it somehow. I saw my friends NEON hood fly up and smack his windsheild on the highway. Better safe than sorry. I think you should use something other than a pin tho

it uses all the factory hardware, just like the stock hood.

I never noticed it with my stock hood? but i do with this one, i'm just worried about turning it into insulation from smashing against my windshield

Mine too.

You can adjust the bumper stops a little bit and it won't move as much

you guys are kidding right. I never noticed any hood movement even on bumps. actually when I close my hood its real tight.

do you sit high enough in your seat to really see the hood? The thing shakes quite a bit at high speeds. Maybe it is only happens on hoods with a prop rod and not the air struts? But mine definately shakes.

Mine has the air struts and it doesn't move at all, it is heavy even when it is unlatched.

i haven't drivin around with my hood on.

but i would check to make sure if latches tight. when latched make sure you can not push hood down onto stops our raise it up a little. you want a tight fit but not way tight.

its against the bumps, it won't pull down anymore, the latch on the body is now adjusted all the way down, the hood is solid on the car, it's just that the front corners seem to push up at around 80 especially with a head wind, i guess if the area that the front hinge is bolted to is strong enough, i dont need to worry, i know fiberglass is gonna flex, and the hood is extremely well built, i'll just keep an eye on it, and make a decision later.
