if i remember correctly its something to do with the voltage regulator or something........someone on here had a problem with an alternator and it seems there was a cut off at 2001 to where they changed something......

the only other H.O. alternator i know of is mralternator.com for $210. you can get one for less anywhere, but its 105amps. this ones a 160amp

what does he sell? my brother sells ohio generators, could ask him on the price, but they're usually pretty $$$

i think i remember that, ive got a 01, but im not in the market for a new alternator, just saw this and thought id post. but weren't some 01's different than others? maybe that was a BS excuse by the company that just sent the wrong alternator
