My friend reminded me of all the majesties of turbonating a car, so i am sooo confused on what I want to do. I mean the rims I have already are sweet and look great, and they arn't that small. This is what we were thinking.
Get a turbo now, and wheels later in summer right before I have to replace the tires I have on them now......
Let me know what you think Iether way, they are both happening by fall...

turbo would be cool but it is costly and lot of work getting everything to gether and getting it together.

give someone money and they get confused.

a turbo kit for our cars at this time is a custom setup. no kits available. even exploited stop carrying crap and they have huge leadtimes.

k guys, don't waste your time, I'm getting new rims.... Becaue I couldn't turbo it and take it to ASS, so I am gonna do new rims now and turbo in the fall (crosses fingers)

you could always start by doing the mods that complement a turbo first, like a header and whatever small bolt on's go with a turbo, then get the rims. so you have a few performance mods at least

Headers kinda pointless if a turbo is your goal. Your just going to replace it with a turbo manifold when your ready to do the turbo.

i was going to say the same thing

lol well I'm going against the majority and hopefully gettin 19's all around, but NO one makes the rims i like in the 5x115 bolt pattern, and getting them in 5x4.5 is just sloppy, so I gotta just keep looking...

ive ran 5x4.5 18's on my last car that was techincally 5x115 and had no problems at all. no one really does. its a .7mm difference.

^ It's not safe, and when you actualy work on a car that does this, it's a pita.

I say 19s may be 20s like Aftermath but not the same ones.

A turbo is just asking for trouble IMO,lots of work :gun2:

trouble is finding 19's I like with the bolt pattern I need...
If these Axis Spiders don't have the bolt pattern, I'm gettin some Enkeis that will go really well with the hood and kit.

i never noticed any vibrations, or the lugs shearing on my aurora, and i got it up to 140mph, 130 a few times. my brothers mother in law has it now, its doing fine, they were the 5x4.5

.7mm is so tiny, manufacturing defects could probably account for that. thats .07cm, and there's 2.54 cm in 1 inch, thats about how thick paper is

19's will look sweet, are you doing black rims again?

|Rev|
03-26-2005, 10:11 PM
^ I get what you are saying, but theres more to it than that, I find out a lot of this crap working at discount tire company.

I'm doing black rims again, but none of them come in 19's so I am gonna most likely do 18's

I think its funny, how would you turbo the car. You will spend more money because it will have to be a custom job. There are no current available turbo kits for your car. If you are thinking of getting a custom turbo job and pay the extra, you might as well get a supercharger. Because then you are getting more for your money. the RSM stage II supercharger kit is constantly pushing 80 hp at 7-14 psi, and a turbo lags... make the smart decision.

|Rev|
03-27-2005, 05:12 PM
^ theres a couple options, like a DIY kit from exploited racing, or a kit from cavalier connections.
And I would rather turbo it than supercharge it any day of the week.

I'm gettin rims anyways, so laugh all you want but there are turbo kits for my car.
