Regulator Strike

Ok, everyone knows that we can't get just the brackets for the window regulators anywhere and that if we want them, we'd have to buy an entire new regulator. This is crap. I'm going to email them and let them know how crappy this is. I want everyone to do the same. Below is the link to contact Oldsmobile. Maybe if we get enough people to do this, they'll manufacture the part and make it available for purchase. It's a long shot, but it could be worth it. If you end up doing this, post here, letting everyone know that you did and if they get back to you.

This is what I wrote to them:

The 3-piece bracket for the window regulator that connects the window to the regulator continues to break. The only way to replace this is to buy an entire new regulator. I would like to be able to purchase this part seperately. It has happened to me twice already and it has become very annoying. Lots of other Aleros and Grand Ams are having the same problems. Please let me know if there is any way to purchase these brackets seperate from the regulator.

Please everyone, send them something along those lines. Let's try to get this.

nah.. i don't have problem with my alero. Ever.. and its my daily driver 2000 w/100k finally.

ya, ive never had any window problems with my 99 with 107k miles. was a daily driver, bought it with 40k. put 60k on it in a couple years. i've got some scratches on em from dirt getting in the weather stripping. thats it tho
