Is your dash in your car? what are you doing that you're risking melting your dash? (maybe i missed it elsewhere)

Are you installing a gauge pillar? I dont get how you would melt your dash, but obviously you managed to find a way

it was a really thoughtless thing that i did. it was while i was putting in the guage pod. i had a trouble light sitting on my dash infront of my steering wheel to light up where i was drilling (for the 2 screws) and it heated up the metal shield on the light enough to melt the vinyl. :pissed:

Ohhhh! That makes sense... i've burned myself with mine so many times i would NEVER put it inside my car. Sorry dood, that sux ass. :(

And I don't know how to fix that, either.

Have you thought about fiberglassing your dash? :P

i've thought about it. but would never actually do it. too much work, too much money. i like mod'n the alero, but not that much modding...lol i still have many years of school to pay for.
