Yeah, I was trying to organize it last year, but couldn't quite get people to commit. I'd be up for something though, provided we were in town that weekend. There's a couple nice parks out by us.

Kensington is nice and close to me. :) Island Lake might work, too. I don't remember which one, but one has really strict rules about food and booze.

it'll be a little less of a drive the if u were going to detroit...so just less than 3 hours depending on how u drive

Kensington is probly 3.5-4ish hours from Chicago. You'd go up I-96 to Kalamazoo, I-94 over, then up M-14 and US-23 to Kensington.

I don't work weekends, so that's not an issue for me. Just have to find out when Overdrive75 is going to be on trips, and he doesn't know yet.

If anyone wants to go with me to oldsmans in Joliet on the weekend of the 1st, i can pick you up along the way (i'm going there from the sarnia bridge), looks like there's gonna be lots of us there. I got video games and DVDs we can watch on the LCD to help pass the time.

I said whenever. I don't like to make firm commitments to stuff in the summer because we like to take off with the boat on a whim if it's nice out. We don't need notice to take off work though, so it doesn't matter what weekend. Just seems like there was only like 3 people, so it would have been lame anyway.

ok its august we still gonna try a get together. i live in det, i work in southfield i also go to my parents in mt clemens and church in shelbytwp (shelbyville :-P) van dyke and 24 mile so i dont have a probelm driving anywhere i just need to know times and place i usually work weekends but not till late in the afternoon.. ha we can always have it in my parking lot at work on a sunday we usually are dead there anyway (Pizza Hut 10 Mile and telegraph) i'm sure the manager wouldnt mind haha since its me :-P but yeah lets try a get together before it snows

michigan meets are hardly ever a success. Only time it really is a success, is during the alero show that does on in lansing, annually.

If u want to come to a successful meet up either the chicago, and wisconsin people usually have good ones, or the Niagra Fall clan does as well.

I would like to get together and meet poeple form Southeast MI area but it didnt work last time. I want to do it befor school strarts back up. I have 2-3 days off a week right now.

I have every day off, and Overdrive75 has the weekends off (and every weekday after 4 or so). We'll be gone next weekend, but we're usually around when we aren't on the boat.

like i siad the only problem i have is i work at pizza hut my schedualo always changes ( if we can on a sunday i share a parking lot with comerica bank its a huge parking lot plus i can give discounts on pizza :-P but thats only on sundays.. right at 10mile and telegraph (24750 telegraph southfield 48034) if you want to map it and se where we are.. there is a fe party stores around mijers up the street some i can even try to get the day off if (sunday that is) and still get discounts. but i need enough people to be able to come out.. and if the sfpd show up all i need to do is give em food they order from us all the time..

I went to Cedar Point once already this summer, and I have no money to go back again. And pizza is cool, but I think we were thinking more like a park or someplace we could hang out more than a parking lot.

Yeah any Update on the planned dates for this? When are you going back to school, because isn't school starting very soon? Post up a date, and see what happens then.
