So here's all my scratches... courtesy of a mom who uses an ice scraper to push snow off every surface of the car. :glare: I'm all for clearing the whole car off.. but at least use the brush end.
It doesn't look bad from a distance...

thanks for the sympathy... lol
and if you're wondering, all the scratches you see are thru or into the color coat. :glare: You would not believe how much has been waxed/ buffed out.
Yes, I plan on getting a paint job.................someday.

OUCH!!! Man my car has enough scratches ast it is. But it came like that when i bought it. If my mom had done it tho i would have been SO pissed off!!!
smlzalero
04-04-2005, 01:44 AM
yes.... my mom is not the nicest person...
I can't really complain, tho because I bought it, then lost my job and she bought it from me so I wouldn't lose it... then i bought it back from her... so technically she did this to her own car.

Yikes!
My front bumper has a lot of shovel marks, apparently I parked my car into a snowbank last winter, and it froze. Ask Noodle.

If you have a decent insurance company and a good policy you can probably get it all fixed for free with no raise in your monthly payments. My car was keyed over the winter and the insurance is covering it all. 700 dollars in damage. I didn't have to pay a deductible either. Oh and I have State Farm insurance.

I don't know. I really like this color.... but I also love dark blue... looks good on Aleros. :) It will take a lot of thought.

My Alero is the same color is your, but without the scrathes! I would say keep that color!

...
even wehn i lived in illinoies and i did get my car covered in snow i never found it necessary to completely remove the snow before i went anywhere. . . i got all the windows and then let wind and gravity do the rest. . . why do so many people take the time to scrape all the snow completely off their cars? it just makes no sence to me...
also, if my mom did that crap to my car i'd put a rather large vegatable in her tailpipe and disconnect one battery lead. . . she'd be so helplessly screwed (not the automotive sort)...
or better yet, i'd leave the car completely alone, adjust the seat all the way back with the back end down and the front end up, and unplug all the motors that move the seat HAHA... she'd pay for scratching my car for weeks!

I always try to get all the snow and crap off my car... Have you ever been driving behind someone who only cleans parts of the car off and then all of the sudden.....BAM!!.... your windshield is covered in snow and you can't see anything and you're going way too fast for not being able to see and you're sliding all over the place because you jerked the wheel when you were startled by the sudden blindedness? And then you get in a wreck because a bunch of snow someone could have cleaned off their car flew onto yours?
