Hey guys.
After I removed my dash a while back, I never hooked my airbag back up, and took out the light for the airbag. Now, I need to have the airbag system working correctly or the stupid smog referee won't even test my car. I'm sure I hooked everything back the way it should be, seeing that I only disconnected the fuse and the connector going to the back of the driver side airbag, and crimped the green and white wires going to the passenger air bag correctly too. I hooked it up without the battery connected, but according to ShopKey (basically an electronic service manual database at school) it doesn't say anything about disconnecting the battery, just the fuse and disconnecting the yellow wires on both sides of the fuse panels. On wednesday, I tried doign that, but without the battery plugged in, and still have the light flash 7 times and stay on. I haven't tried doing the procedure with the battery plugged in for obvious reasons. Anyone who took their dash out, or anyone who knows have any suggestions?
Thanks!

As long as everything is hooked back up right and there wasn't any problems before the system was disconnected, sounds like you should be able to just clear trouble codes to shut your airbag light off. You can clear every trouble code in the car out by disconnecting the positive and negative battery cables and touching them together for a few seconds. If they're not long enough to touch you just bridge a wire between the two (do not bridge them together while still connected to the battery!! :smokin: )
Hope this does the trick for you!

why ya need to fix it? the airbag light has nothing to so with anything else. I would see if a SVS or SES light was on.. but an airbag light has nothing to with smog. My airbags are out the car and I passed emission test/State inspection here in texas
