Howdy :)
A little more than a week ago, I put my 1997 Grand Am GT in a ditch. It had the 2.4 Twin Cam in it and a rather agressive transmission. This kept me ahead of my friends with 3.8 Grand Prix's until about 80.
Now I have a 2001 Alero with 111k on it. GL, 2 Door, electric sunroof.
Pretty damn many miles for a 2001, but it runs and shifts good. It has a few nice chips, dings and random blemishes that will make me not feel bad when I add my own :)
The Alero has the 3400 in it. First gear feels nicer than my Grand Am. When the car shifts at WOT into second, the Alero just grannies it in and you never notice. The Grand AM used to spring you into second and thats what made it only fast until 80. 3rd gear sucked with the 2.4. The 3400 obviously has more power in the top end.
So I guess thats just my little intro. I'll get it all cleaned up and take pics soon.
