i was looking on ebay, becuase thats the easyest place for me to find stuff right now, and i came accross THIS (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33656&item=7968987748&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW) and i was wondering if anyone had this done to their alero's and what they thought. Mostly i was concerned that it would rattle or something like that. Also the auction came with a preformance ship so it sounds like a good deal.

Horsepower Engineered Suicide Trunk Kit. Adds 10 horsepower. YAy!!
Don't buy that kit. All you need is a grinder. It takes 10 - 15 minutes.

from what i have read in the past...i have thought of doing this myself...and i have read that the trunk kits warp your trunk and you cant ever get it looking normal again. iv seen pics on the site and i just looked but i couldnt find a link for you. in my opinion i would not do this mod but if you want to take the risk you can.

Ask SIlent, he did it. Apparently it leaks and it never lines up right again.

Mine never leaks and it is a little difficult to line up. you gotta to do it 2 or 3 times to line it up right. But you get the hang of it the more you flip your trunk. I made some marks on the trunk to help me line it up better.

uh, i did it a while back. i did it different tho. i just cut the trunk lid where the hinges go in, take one bolt out and bam, flip flop trunk. no line up problems either. you all suck

I did mine the exact same way, Sound. And after about six months, the metal around the pivot hole started to deteriorate and now loox like crap. I'll eventually get around to getting a new lid cuz this one is done. But once i do, i'm gonna flip that one too, but gonna take a lot more precautions than the first attempt.

ya, i noticed that would happen, i never really used mine. but, a metal strip SHOULD be welded on the side to maintain the strength.

I think i wrote a "how to" for this before the website got switched over and lost all the old info. I could look for it again, but it's just one of those mods that loox good in the beginning, then turns into a p.i.t.a.
