Will the springs from a 99-04 grand am work on my alero? I thought they were the same but I want to double check.
Thanks

GA's and Alero are the same in most cases

I'd be interested in seeing what parts will fit directly to an alero (from a GA)...

everything... you could even transplant the compleate interior if you wanted... or say a front clip... fenders hood bumper grill... suspention and drivetrains... both are equiped with the same stuff.

yep, pretty much everything depending on how far you wanna go. The only things that wouldn't be a direct swap would be body panels and interior. For those you'd need to swap surrounding pieces also.
Suspension, engine, drivetrain, glass, mirrors, exhaust, wheels, etc direct swap no problems. Also 2-door/4-door, V6, 4-cyl, doesn't matter.

Sorry but just to be perfectly sure, the glass on a grand am is exactly the same is an alero? Reason I ask is because I need a new windshield and the junk yard doesn't have any alero windshields, so a grand am one will fit?

yes. The subframes are the same. Just different body panels; trunk lid, hood, fenders, bumpers, rear quarter panels. Door skins swap over though.
