Will the Venom intake manifold made for the 2.4L cavalier work on the alero? if so are they strictly for drag racing?

all it is....................is a chromed stock looking intake. no gain in hp and a waste of money.

induction dynamics is better but major cash. they wanted around $1000 for it.
best bang for the buck is the 2.3 HO intake like mine.

np, dood.
the 2.3 HO manifold you can get from a junkyard. they made them from the late 80's to the mid 90's
sometimes you can find them on ebay for a good price also.

I'm far from an afficianado on 2.4's but here's a couple of links that MAY prove handy. :beerchug:
a Quad 4 forums HO manifold swap thread (http://www.quad4forums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2958)
Exploited Racing's 2.3 HO manifold to 2.4 twin cam conversion plate (http://www.exploitedracing.com/Chevrolet.html)
Hope these help! :thumb:

http://www.the-race-shop.com/ sells HO intakes modified already to bolt right up to your 2.4 cylinder head. The price isnt too bad either, check it out here (http://www.the-race-shop.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4).
If you're spending the time and money to install this intake, do yourself a favour and get either the 56mm 2.3HO throttle body, or an aftermarket one, but I definately wouldnt' go higher than 60mm, you'll lose low-end torque as it is.
