Might Be A Stupid Question?

I have a 99 alero GL, yea yea i knwo but im paying for it myself straight with payments, and im trying to modifie to what i want is a show car(well with som internals to). But my only problem is, is that its an auto. Is there any way that i can change it to a manual, and if not what can i all do to it engine wise to make it have better performence in the engine. i know i can do alot of stuff to the engine i just want to knwo what is the best.

Depending on what motor you have it is possible to switch to manual. I dont think it is worth it unless your seriously loaded, and really want a manual. But with 3 or 4 thousand dollars it can probably be done.
