Im stuck on whether to get 19" rims or 18's? Im thinking that 19's will be TOO big and flashy...but im not sure...ive looked at alot of pictures and alot of people are sporting 18's....does anyone have 19" rims or know someone with 19's on an alero? Any advice on this?

if you get the right width and offset they'll fit

I know that they would fit as long as I stayed with 8" wide! However im just wondering if its....TOO much for the car you know what I mean? Granted I want it to look good but I dont want it to be all rim when you look at it! I will have to check out americangirls! Thanks

Do you have any problems with steering as far as your turning radius goes? And I am also curious about the ride...smooth or rough? By the way...car looks damn good!

turning radius is still the same, no rubbing with 225/35/20 tires. the ride is smooth as hell even with factory struts lowered since 10k miles and the car just made 100k miles before i installed my air ride. so 90k of the factory struts life has been spent on lowering springs. my friends were impressed of the ride with 20's.

as funny as that is....Pennsylvania is the same if not worse. I had a guy come in the other day that is a contractor for PennDot, and he said they always bid using the cheapest asphalt, so its garunteed to break down in 2 years!!

But anyhow, i'm lowered and in Pa and I have no problems. I took my car to Detroit and I had no problems there either....so fear not and drop that ho.

I'm lowered and have 17's.

I went with the Eibach's for the lowering due to the fact that the roads in PA suck ass just like Double 0 said. Althought I can't speak for the roads in the Pittsburg area, here in Greater Philadelphia, they suck.

Lowering really isn't the problem, the bigger the wheel, the lower series (sidewall) you'll have. I have a 45 sidewall on mine and I still try to miss potholes and craters and such. I did bend 1 of my stock 16" wheels on a pothole and they had a 50 sidewall. It took 2.5 years to become a problem, but that is why I have aftermartket rims now.

 The dealer gave me a hard time about them and asked why I have different wheels on the car. I said those wheels were $550 for all 4 and you were going to charge me $400 for one OEM rim. He said, that was a good buy then  This is the same guy that tried to void my warranty for useing SLiverStar bulbs
