Tail Lights

I know this is might be a stupid question but i just wanted to know. On my car when i hit the brakes the only lights that light up are the ones circled 1 one the picture below. i was just wanted to know if this is normal or does anyone have both 1 and 2 light up when you hit the brakes.

Nope, that's right. Freakout wired his up so all 4 work. (I think... I could be totally ass-backward)

no you got it right.... he also wired up his headlights so when the highs are on, the lows stay on as well

thanks, for some reason i thought that all four lights light up and that mine was broken. oh well now i know

How...how do you wire that up..to where the lows and highs are on at the same time...thatd look really cool...
