My friend has a 350 in his S-10 and he has a friend that is going to give him a "friend deal" he is gonna give him a high performance 350 for like 50 bucks so I said I would buy the 350 HP for him if he gave me his 350 from his S-10. My question is will the 350 fit in the Alero?Im not sure so please let me know

How much money are you looking to spend on making the 350 work on the Alero?

I'd say at the minimum $10, 000. Even if you had the engine you'd still need a tranny, rear end, custom drive shaft and tons of custom mounts and suspension. Not to mention the firewall would possibly have to be moved back and a new floor put in to accomidate the tranny and drive shaft being under it. You'd be better off trying to find a S-10 frame and dropping the Alero body onto it. And mostly likely that would look stupid.

A few years back, someone put a 350 inside an Alero engine bay.....of course, he had to turn the Alero's unibody into swiss cheese and mount the whole works on a S-10 chassis. It isn't easy or cheap.

the best v-8 to even try dropping in an alero is a northstar, that way its still fwd and you they will fit alot easier, still not easy, but better then a rwd 350
