I think my tranny is slipping when the car shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. It kinda stutters then shifts into gear its not smooth.
Ne way my question is, I have 63,000 miles so should I change my tranny fluid b4 assuming ne thing? And does this sound like my tranny is going?
Also if my tranny is going, will my CAI and Borla exhaust void my warranty to get that fixed, I've looked for this info on a few sites, but I cannot get a straight answer.

I always change my transmission fluid and filter every 30,000 miles because my alero is daily driven and goes through the weather seasons...makes the car last longer is done every 30,000 miles. If taken to a dealership to get fixed with your aftermarket products on it and they have a problem, they will void your warranty. I used to work for a Oldsmobile/Pontiac dealership...I've seen it happen. Like I said, it really depends on the personnel at the dealership and if they feel that your tranny is going due to the added aftermarket products...they will void that warranty. It's money they can save, ya know.
Change the fluid and see for yourself the difference.

They could void your warrenty.. however i doubt they would.. its not like your runing N2o  :D lol, its just a Cai... and cat back, that would be like voiding a warrenty for installing a K&N in the factory airbox, your dealer would have to be a total prick to do this....
Yes i would suggest you change the fluid and maybe get a freind who knows somethin about trannys to take it for a drive.. and verrify the problem.. if there is one..
Btw what color/smell of the tranny fluid?

I've gotten sh** for having my K&N Air Filter in my car when taking it to the dealership I bought it at. LIke i said, it really all depends.

Got my transmission fluid drained and they added the new stuff and I gotta say that I can tell the difference, no more slipping when the gears shift. I'm glad I got it changed, it was worth the money.

The only thing those parts void the warranty on is the exhaust from the cat back and the intake plumbing (unless of course GM can PROVE one of those parts caused the failure). anybody who thinks a CAI will void ur warranty needs to read up on the magnuson Moss warranty act
