ok this is tripping me out.......so i have a question for all the people out their with 160 amp alternators or anything upgraded.......how did you upgrade your alternator to junction box wire, the wire goes inside and up into a slot for a fuse........theres no way a 4 gauge could fit up into there.......
could i just run a 4 gauge cable from my alternator to my battery? or do i need something in-line like an isolator or what not? my cars torn apart so id appreciate some quick help guys.......thanks

i dont know what lengths are required, i was just going to custom make some cable, but once u check out the underside of the junction box you will realize how much of a pain its going to be......the battery to junction box cable is no big deal but alternator to junction box cable is such a pain in the ass....
so if you got any ideas id love the help and any questions you got id be more than welcome to help ya out, i just want to figure this out....

well after i got the alternator put in i was only getting about 12 volts at idle and when i feathered the throttle to about a 1000 rpm's, it went up to about 13.9 volts which still isnt enough, called the guys and they said either the belts slipping or we sent you the wrong pully size, sure enough i went out and measured the one they sent( 2 1/2 inches) and then the old one (2 1/4 or so)..........so they gotta ship me a new one........but still gotta figure this wiring thing out
