I did do a quick search on this and wasn't able to find anything...and I did read the post on Capacitors and a lot of people suggested the secondary battery with isolator over a capacitor...my question is I know that stinger makes a few different isolators...how do you go about choosing which amperage of isolator to use for your system...mine will consist of 3 Alpine mono class amps, and a jbl 4 channel power series amp...models MRD-M300 (alpine) and PX300.4 (jbl), I think that the alpine amps are dual 20amp fuses, and the jbl is either a dual 30 or dual 40...it's been a while since I've taken it out of the box...anyway...any help will be appreciated...and I am currently working on the amp rack for the 3 sub amps.

Usually try to go with an isolator with a 20% greater rating than your alternator puts out. Meaning if you have a 100 amp alternator you want to get a 120 amp isolator.

If i was you i would go with the 150 amp isolator, and 4awg wire front to back.

I have a buddy who has the 15 farad that he'd sell to me for 185...it's slightly used, but I know it's in great shape...but I think I'm going to need the second battery anyway...thanks for the input though.
