While at Jiffy Lube, a friend told me about this coolant being poopty, he said it has been known to cause gellation, which is really bad, and is going out of business from all the lawsuits it's been getting from toyata camry;s I think...

HAS ANYONE DONE ANYTHING TO PREVENT THIS, the stuff says don't change it for 150,000. I think that it could be two ways. It's either really good stuff, or really bad stuff. Now If it's good stuff, then it's cool, cause I don't have to continually buy more. But if it's bad, and will cause problems then I want to repalce the entire DEX COOL system.

HAS ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THIS? although the Luber gave me a discounted price under the table, I think what he said was good, but dont know if it was enough to cause a problem.

I know that if you mix the Dex Cool and regular anti-freeze it will turn to gel. I have never heard of it just turning to gel. I know my car has almost 90,000 miles on it and I haven't had any problems yet with.

As long as you only add something that is Dex-cool, or says "Dex-cool approved," you'll be fine. It's when you mix that you have problems, but it says that right in the manual.
