i had an idea, before i get any of my exhaust put on and welded up, i think i might buy a few cans of the high heat ceramic paint and maybe put a few coats on everything, just to hold in a little more heat, and hopefully prolong rust even more if possible, is this a good idea or just a waste? seemed reasonable to me personally

anyone? also, im not sure if it would be a problem to the pipe show when it gets welded up

that's what i'm doin. i have some 2000° black ceramic paint. that's what my idea was also, to keep in more heat and to help resist rust. i'll be spraying it on all the pieces of the exhaust after it all gets welded. i sprayed a little on the exhaust thats on there now to see if it would resist rust like i thought, and it seems to actually work...and i've driven through everything from a little mist to hard rain where i could barely see the road and after it dried its still black with no rust at all...not a bad idea if you ask me

my only problem is that once the exhaust shop puts it on, it's on for good, so i guess i'll just have to jack it up and spray it the best i can

No i just got my exhaust on today and they actually thought to do that for me so they did it of no charge for me. And if they dont for u bring a can along and ask them to do it while its in the air. it isnt unresonable to ask
