actually there is a TSB on this for the J-cars ('00-present I believe) for the second and third gear syncros.

TSB is that Tecnical service bulliten?? or wut.. because not only did my dealer tell me there was no prior ocurences, but i have a sheet from when they did the work that says there are no documented cases of this... allthou maybe that didnt take J-Bodys into account, maybe only N-bodys.. i dunno... :wacko:

You should call oldsmobile directly they might know or could find out. The dealers seem to be lost on those issues. I had to Oldsmobile for a recall which the dealer had no clue about.
