OK I didn't see it happen, a co-worker did.

This kid was at the track and had to be pushing a 100 shot of N2O on a SRT-4 revving his motor like crazy, and his smacked ass friends jumped the fence and were taking pics of him with their cell phones, on the track surface :o . The friends got thrown out.

Well the funniest part is my coworker saw his doing doughnuts and burouts in the pits, after he got yelled at, it turned out he was out of spray, so he deceided to take off his air filter and make a run without that. Well it was a mistake.

This kid was going down the track and when he shifted into 2nd or 3rd (coworker couldn't tell) and motor started to die down a bit. Then his motor caught fire. They was a piece of wax paper floating across the track in front of him, (like from the food stand, it was windy) and went missing right before the motor caught fire.

3" tube, no filter, no brains = no more car :hide:

They all should be banned from the track for at least 1 year until they learn their lesson. I would have kicked their asses the moment they started doing burnouts and doughnuts in the pits.

My mech was working on a 1992 Plymouth Voyger with the 3.0 V6 and he said, and I quote.

"I replaced this motor"
"Doesn't look to hard to pull out"
"No, it's easy. The heads on this are junk"
"Really, my racing buddy has almost 170K on the same motor. It's orignal"
"That's rare, I've never heard to these getting more than 75K befoer the heads go"
"Is Chrysler getting better now"
"No, they are still junk. Buy either GM, or Nissan They have the best motors"

Yeah the 5 other guys I said that in front of all laughed thier asses off. That kid hasn't said too much to me since. :yahoo:

My motor's actually built by Mitsubishi, which explains why it's lasted so long. I know several Mitsu-Dodges with between 150K and 300K miles. Don;t know of any all-Dodge cars with nearly that much.
