View Full Version : Hearter Knobs
i looked every where but couldn't find anything on this how do u get the heater knobs to glow something u buy of just take the rubber piece off any body got pics of this i would like to do this to my alero if i see clear pictures of it any help apreicated thanks.
it's done by taking off the rubber on the knob itself, read up and search for more info. Colors varied in some years, + there are how to's on it here or on Grandamgt.com

99-00 have the blue knobs, and SOME 01's have 'em too. ALL 02+ have white knobs under the rubber. If you think that you might not like it, be careful taking them off. (yes they CAN go back on if you are extra careful and don't stretch or rip them.)
any tips for taking them off without ruining them

when you pull off the knob, unhook the teeth around the edges and roll them off. Just be careful. This is by far the cheapest and easiest thing to do to the alero.

could also find someone who has them already peeled and wants to go back to stock, then trade.
boiling them i heard works, softens the rubber glue and makes it easier to slide em off
i got them off and they look alright better in the day then night tho thanks for the help guys..

i took the rubber off my 99 and it looked sweet. but then i traded it for an 04 and i didn't have a chance to switch them with the new one. so now i'm stuck with the ones that you can't clear.
