check best buy. or even online at sumitt racing. best buy is little more exspensive, but it works great.

moved to the proper section...you are going to have to go back and double check that you have the right adaptor. the only way you should run into a fit problem is depth and you'll have to get in there with some tools and do some re-arranging of those useless little parts they put back there...

this question is asked 1000 times before i assume. i used the search for some minutes but i didnt find a fitting topic.
perhaps u guys can help out this stupid german guy again ;)

oke i want to remove the stock radio in my alero. but im afraid the system signals will be gone then.
(this noisy chime) since i like it, actually, i dont want to miss this when the radio is gone.
another question is, will there be a problem w/ the theftlock system when the radio is gone?

if someone knows an adapter.. or a radio dummy simulator - or if someone has sum experiences
w/ removing the radio i'd be happy if you share ur knowledge here :)

thanks

ronin

If you buy your radio from crutchfield.com they will ship you everything, a new dinger (the thing with the chimes), an radio adapter for your car, and a master sheet that tells you how to do everything. or if you already have the radio you can go and buy that stuff from there anyway. thats how i did mine and it was cake, and i'd never done anything with a car before

hey thx for your answer firstson. do you think this set will work w/o installing
a radio? - since i want to remove it completely.

edit: can you give me a link to this kit - i cant find it somehow

there should be a link somewhere on the site that says "please select your car". you click on that and put in your info then click on the kits and harnesses links and it should come up with one. the adapters are only like 15.00 and the dinger in 80 unless you buy it with a radio.

hope you can find what you're lookin for

ah i found it. i didnt find it before cuz i selected the 2000 alero not the 2001
i thoght my radio is one of the older ones. s/o told me that this radio is
from the older generation up to 2000.

i found this one http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4Mh3HJg1g7j/c...asp?i=120GMRC01 (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4Mh3HJg1g7j/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=120GMRC01) do you know if this will fit to the radio on the pic?

Thats what i used for my kenwood h.u. and it works fine. that interface just plugs into the factory wires and then you splice it to your new h.u.
and if its too loud there is a wire you can cut to turn the volume down on the dinger
