Wassup guys, Just figured that I would update you fockers on my new mod. I fiberglassed the screen into the area where the reciever area was. I also moved the tempurature controls down and made a new area for the reciever. I am really happy with how it came out. I Know there are alot of haters on the sight so try to be nice.

It's tuff to get a good feel for how it flows with the rest of the interior from a color perspective, but as far as the handywork you've done a great job. Is the little cubby hole still at the bottom? If so, I can't see it being able to hold much more than a pop tart.

I agree, it looks realy good. I think it is my favorite thing you've done so far. It looks as though your HU would still be above the shifter in park. If so, I would concider doing the same thing.

Looks great man,

ABout that front cup holder, Useless unless you're on a road trip and don't put it ina park for a long time :P

That cubby hasn't been of much use for me anyway. Like the idea alot. I just have an aftermarket bl;ack cutout, and with a din radio , just doesn't look stock. Your lines seem to flow. A light color wouldn't be my choice, but I haven't seen the rest of your interior.

If I could find one of those carputers with a touch screen I'd do this mod.

Looks great! Really clean. Just like mine was (before the thieves) except the A/C controls and HU are swapped. I like the way the HU is higher on yours though. I know mine was a pain trying to get a CD out while in Park. Very nice!

same here, Ill pay you for labor and materials if you could reproduce a few, dont even gotta paint it, Ill paint it just send me a raw one lol! :-D nice work though man

wrightie

The cost of the materials is nothing next to the patience to do this. I dont think I could make them fast enough to justifiy the price i think I would charge. What would you charge? just curious.

welcome to the world of custom and fab. Not many people seem to realize the TIME, SKILL, and PATIENCE these things take. But yet, they all want it........but dont wanna pay. U said it took you 15hrs..........even at only 20bux an hour thats 300 bucks right there. JUST for labor.

hey wrightie, you gonna be showing up at the falls meet? i'd absolutely LOVE to see all this fiberglassed stuff you have done recently....you're doin a great job...and IMO, for somethin that takes that much time, $300 for labor + costs of material is cheap...especially if they all came out like yours :thumb:

would it take less time to just fit a dubble din in the stock opening?

october 1st weekend, friday saturday and sunday, is when the aleromod guys and the grand am club are getting together. Living in Toronto you could come out just for a day if you like (hopefully not only saturday tho, i'm shoooting a wedding all day and i really wanna see your mods). You could get a room on clifton hill with everyone else, or crash out at my house, if you wanna go budget.

Do you have a number for Clifton Hills? If I could get two days off at work, I would love to attend. So far, the man has beaten me down every time a event has come around.
Wrightie, I think I read the article you were talking about. I recal a tutorial in one of the car audio mags about dash modification. Unfortunately, I was in the book store and the Maxim mag was catching most of my attention.

ok, first off, wrightie that poop is nice. that's exactly how i wanted mine to look, then get it acid dipped for CF.

and secondly, shameless plug: i'm still selling a set of interior pieces. 100 shipped to the US, switches/controls included. good radio trim piece for someone who might want to try something similar, and no trash theirs if they fail :)

edit, includes TWO DOOR window controls/switches, radio bezel, shifter bezel, and tan shift knob w/ retaining clip.
