Do you have to be an OCA member to come or only if you want to show you car?

Oldsman
01-27-2004, 11:08 PM
it is a one day show. it is known as the largest one day Olds show.

No you don't have to be a member of the OCA to show.

But it would be nice to have a good showing of Alero chapter peopleat homecoming being this is THE last year.

lansing is about ummm 2 hours from detroit i belive..... about 2 hours from toledo ohio.....

Yeah, right in the middle of your right palm. I'll have to show y'all how to do the UP and LP on both hands, then I could show you where I went to school. It's stupid, but effective. You just wish your states had cool shapes.

Lansing is an hour from Grand Rapids, 2 hours from downtown Detroit, about 2 hours from Toledo, and about 3 hours from Chicago.

I think I may go to. I'm on Vacation that week anyway. If it's 6 hours for 3.4 Alero, I guess it's about 11 to 12 for me. But it's cool, I can drive out Friday, go to the show on Saturday, and drive home Sunday :D

the more the merrier.

having a strong showing of aleros, would not only show the strength of the Alero Chapter but the whole alero community to all those older Olds people and the general public.

fiesty, i know you don't much about the olds shows, i will take that into consideration.

this is not a mod show. It is an Oldsmobile show.

All Olds shows contain classes for stock/restored to street stock and modified.

Like with all Alero chapter events, OCA events, and even aleromod meets..............stock to wild are all welcomed the same.

So don't anyone feel bad about showing up with a stock alero. At least you show up. Sometimes a stock can be helpful to show you or someone else how something was and a person who has gone wild can show you what things had to modified or removed to get to a wild mod.

dopey
02-29-2004, 03:30 PM
ya at OCA events....... the number of stock cars WAY out numbers the modified cars.

scott...... should i enter the stock class this year again??

fiestyalerogirl81
02-29-2004, 05:25 PM
Oldsman, are you saying that since I dont know too much about the homecoming I shouldnt go?

Oldsman
02-29-2004, 09:16 PM
Sweet, be honest this year and go in the right class.......modified, bunghole.........LOL

Fiesty....... i wasn't meaning it that way. what i mean is since you don't know about OCA events i filled you in. Don't mean if you don't know you shouldn't go. I was teaching you. so you feel ok about going.

scott i honestly dont agree with u in terms of how to determine what class u should be in. i think we had this discussion befor. but oh well.

ill be in modified this year...... imo u should be in stock. but it would be nice if we could have all the aleros together.....

Silentalero
02-29-2004, 11:19 PM
well im sure we can all park together, just diff classes, becasue last year scot was stock and i was gm modified and we were next to each other

Oldsman
02-29-2004, 11:21 PM
there we go everyone go in modified............lol

your right sweet, we did have that discussion. but after being an OCA judge i know what 40 points are. and i know how bad i would be picked apart in stock.

I want to go.. I'll see if I can get the weekend off and maybe I could even talk my dad into driving my Cutlass down with us too.. that'd be a great trip.. let me know the details of it all guys

Oldsman
03-04-2004, 04:31 PM
marc, the only reason we were parked next to each other last year was because street stock and modified were next to each other.

they have the lot sectioned off for the classes.

the only way everyone will be together is if we are all in the same class.

This is how it is. sorry, rules are rules.

I suppose if anyone is really hard up for a place to stay I'll have a floor you can sleep on, but it's gonna be an hour from Lansing. We'll most likely drive out that morning. Oldsman
03-20-2004, 01:19 AM
the longer it gets drawn out the more our cars aren't worth spit. it would have been better to just stop it immediately.

But it is funny, how noone knows when Olds will be done. I have heard there will be the alero around til 2005. but who knows if the rumors are true.

But if GM is looking for a cure, well they killed it. If they revive Olds would anyone buy them after all this??? Probably only the hardcore Olds people.

But i think why they are gimping along is because GM is finding out that the loyal Olds people are not going to other GM products. Which this was a worry of GM's.

Overall, it's sad but I was thinking about the part about how it's dragged on and something might come to the rescue. Then I thought if the OSV was put into production, could it help....then my mind kinda wandered...so I guess that's kind of rekindling a lost hope (something that'll never happen)
