Please, if somebody has the answer to were the temp. needle should be in heavy traffic, please tell me. I look everywhere in my manual and does not say.
I also don't know if the 2003 has a electric fan that goes on when it reach ?? ??temperature. I only hear the fan when I turn on the air cond.
Thank you in advance,
Serg.

A mechanic had told me a litle past the half way line is fine. That's where mine is at and I asked if it was normal. So that's just what they told me, if that helps any.

normal operation is at the halfway mark.
during heavy traffic, maybe a needle width or 2 above the halfway mark.
if it gets to hlafway between the middle mark and the hot mark it is running a little hot.
normally only one fan runs. but when it gets hot the other should kick on. if not you can turn on the A/C and this will kick it on. and when you shut the car off the fan should run for 5-10 seconds.
if your second fan is not kicking on then the sensor or something is bad and you need it to be looked at.
hope this helps.

Yep, I'll second what Oldsman says. That's exactly how mine behaves, too.

The fan kicks on at about 195 I think. That would be half way on the gauge is normal.

ummmm, ya know....there IS a red light that will come on when it overheats. half-way to just below 3/4 is usually fine.
