I have had these on my Alero for about 2 years, different bulbs of course, but the same brand. I noticed today that one burnt out and the connections were melted. Is there anything I should be worried about, or is this common? The light itself looks alright, but I am just worried. Thanks!

you gotta make sure you don't go higher than the prescribed wattage. high wattage bulbs get hotter. *I think* the max on out low beams is 55W. I got 35W Eurodezigns high beams and had them for about 2 years (maybe longer) and I still impress people behind me (and in my car), and blind people in front of me.
BUT, if you want the higher wattage bulbs, you might want to upgrade the harness and wiring. I think the stock harness uses 12 or 14 guage wires. Go thicker on that one...like maybe 8 guage.
Also, if you haven't warped your bumper by the headlights yet, stick with lower wattage anyway. Prevent the ugly hangover warp!

How do you upgrade the harness and wiring? I am curious now...."Prevent the ugly hangover warp!" whats that?

look at your bumper. if it has a bubble under the headlights it is warped. (don't worry, a lot of people get it.) If it is still flat, you have a rare case of "good bumper cover". lol
and seriously, if you have ever done any electronics work, upgrading the wiring would be simple. I think there is a how-to on here somewhere though.
harnesses for higher wattage.

and for the wires, just replace them with thicker stuff.
I wouldn't suggest this project unless you had a soldering gun and plenty of electrical tape. It should be a simple replacement job. just Don't do too much at once...you might forget which wire/harness you're replacing. ;)

Well, I just looked at the old harness and it was burnt pretty good, the reason why my light went out. Will replacing the harness fix that do you think?
THanks

absolutely. upgrading a oem broken part is pretty cool to do.

Think you can post a how to in this? or is that out of the picture? THanks again

have you cleared your corners? have you ever worked on electronics? if you have done both, you shouldn't need a how-to. it's sort of common sense.
I'm not exactly good at writing how-to's, but if you have any electronics experience, the clear-corners how-to will help out a bit. This is merely a matter of replacing broken parts.

no prob. I mention clearing corners because I'm fairly sure you have to take apart the headlight assembly to replace the harness.

I just want to say to whoever reads this....Eurodezigns Headlights are possibly the best company I have ever dealt with. If you have a problem, email them and they fix it...its amazingly fast too. Just wanted to let you know, and not to mention they look good too!
Thanks

lol, there is no way you're gonna be able to use 8 gauge in the harness. I think the stock wiring is more like an 18 gauge. use a 12 and you'll be fine

^ thanks for the clarification. I knew I heard 12 guage somewhere, I just forgot if it was before or after. lol

I was wondering if anyone has a link to euro tail lights for an alero because I just cleared my corners and painted my heads black so I want some customization of my tails.

this is the euro dezigns website...

i recommend them, not sure if it will work for tails, but simply for the fact of a lifetime warranty. Enjoy!
