Wheel preferences?

I'm thinking about getting new wheels, but I've never done this before. I was wondering what companies you guys suggest, as a combination of their product and service quality. (and perhaps their prices)

Also, I was thinking of wheels that SCC describes as "deep-dish" wheels. Does anybody here have those? I'd like to see what some deep-dish 5-spoke wheels would look like on my Alero. ;)

deep dish would probably refer to having a "lip" on the rim, look at mine to see what i mean

deep dish wheels have a much larger "lip" or dish..... so there is a difference

99black, not saying you don't know what I'm talking about...but those just ain't deep. I'm looking for something with maybe a bigger lip. I just wanted to see something like it on an Alero. Your pic does help illustrate it in my mind though. :)

i know what you are talking about... but our cars have such a high offset, I doubt wheels like that would fit. Your best bet would be to look for wheels that have spokes that sort of concave in from the center where it bolts on, and curves in. Then you need to worry about brake caliper clearance. I can't think of any rims off the top of my head that look like that though with the proper offset. The ones that are popular for the 350z (if you could find the correct bolt pattern even) would likely stick out past your fenders and look stupid.

Go to tirerack.com and look at the wheels in there. Put in the info for your car and all the wheel they have that wil fit will come up. You can also filter by size and color.

I bought my rims on here and talk about fast: ordered at 230 on tuesday, got on wednesday. Plus I got all the lugs and stuff too :)

/\/\ LMAO! Yea, go to tirerack (THROUGH THE BANNER!) and see what they have. tires.com has a decent selection too. And both sites will show you what the wheels look like on your car.

That's sort of why I thought it was hard to find our cars with deep dish wheels. I knew it was wierd, but didn't know if it was possible. I'll definitely check tirerack.com :)

Here's a pic, but i think they would far extend our fender wells. I believe the 40mm offset would be just right for Alero, but not sure on how to figure out the width. Besides, they're ANDREWS, so they're expensive as crap, but i'm pretty sure most deep dishes are:

I got mine at Discount Tire. They can look up what they have that'll fit your car. Then you can roll it outside and see what it'll really look like on your car. They also have decent sales once in a while. You might want to just go to some place like that to check them out, then see if they're cheaper from tirerack.com or some other place.

There is a site and I thought it was at Discount Tire site where you put your car in and it shows a pic of your car and you can try on all the wheels and see how it looks. All from the convience of your chair in front of your computer.

If you want a lip, try looking at AXIS wheels. They are coming out with the MAXX lip which extends the lip in the rear with changing the offset. Heres a pic of the Axis Se7en Mods......

Mine have a pretty decent lip on em...start in the center and curve inward like was mentioned earlier.
