I took off my shifter handle and installed a sweet looking brake handle I got off of eBay and it isn't working too good. Kinda stiff when going from park to drive. I can't remember if there is a part that goes into the OEM handle or not. When I tried to reinstall the OEM handle, it won't engage the shifter so I was wondering if there is a part that goes inside the handle before you put it on the shifter.

It is a PITA , there should be a little plastic cap with the new handle , the stock one does not have it , it is a matter of getting is pressed doen to the right depth to enage it properly.

I've tried moving the brake handle up and down to try and get it right and yes, it does have to be on there just right but it still is a pain. I can't figure out why when I put the stock handle back on, it will not work at all like a part that goes inside the handle is missing. If someone knows for sure or wouldn't mind popping off that little clip on the back side of your handle and letting me know if anything falls out when you lift it off of the shifter I'd REALLY appreciate it. If there is something that it supposed to go in there, I must have lost it when I took if off. Thanks. :thumb:

The stock handel is one part no little parts come out with it, the little plastic cap I was talking about should be with/for the new one. To put the stock handel back on just push it all the way down and put the staple thing into the back of it.

I swear that is what I did with my stock handle but it won't engage the little plastic thing in the middle of the shifter for some strange reason.
