wow how the hell you make the car fly curb?

It was a new development overlooking a golf course so it had those fancy angled/sloped sidewalks. Must have hit it just right to clear the 8" ledge and then slid along it til I fell sideways.

Changed my oil....switched over to synthetic. Also i FINALLY put my rear strut bar on....been putting it off for too long. About to go for a drive so we'll see how well that rear one compliments the front.

I love how the oil filter on the 3500 is at the bottom of the engine....much easier to take off and a lot less messy. I hated how on the 3400 the filter was towards the middle and whenever you took it off the oil would go down the whole side of the engine and then you have to wipe it all off. Still gotta do some wiping with this one but not nearly as much. About 27k on the new engine :)

so what are your plans for the front bumper cover?

jawa 04-14-2012 11:39 PM

i did a lifter job today, took about 4 hours, got it all back together and runs great, revved it a little and a damm rocker bolt pulled out, i got kinda lucky and it was the front one so heli coiled that and it runs soo much quieter now,

also found out why it smokes some times, the valve guide seal thing came out of the head, i know there is a way to do valve seals with out pulling the head, ive seen a special tool, just gotta get motivated to do it

I installed my LED turn signals in my mirrors.
Installed LED reverse lamps.
Installed LED front side marker lamps and LED parking lamps.
Started installing the leather kit to replace my OEM leather. Got the front passenger seat done!

I replaced my passenger side tie rod end. That jam nut was tight but I managed to get it off. Doing the other side tomorrow. I will take pics and make a tutorial.

Man my car does this, along with mild vibrations at ilde. Once it warms up the car runs fine but still makes the wheel vibrate at idle, but not that hard vibration that makes your teeth chatter. might be paraniod IDK.

CF vinyl on the interior center console today, yea boredom. and since I had leftover plastidip from my rims I put another coat on, then went over all the rubber seals around the windows, the black center pillars and emblems.

Changed my driver side tie rod end. I confirmed that the front struts are destroyed as well as the upper strut bearings. Steering wheel feels a lot better and tighter now though. Getting an alignment done on Wednesday. I have KYB AGXs on order, but it looks like they are discontinued. I will have to settle for KYB gr2 i guess or maybe monroe sensa-tracs.

jhubbz 04-22-2012 11:03 PM

Changed hub assembly after the other one went bad after one freaking month... Word to the wise, spend the extra cash on the better hub assembly. It's worth it.

I had the GR2's and they leaked after a year and a half (dropped 3") Have the sensa-trac's now and i am VERY pleased.

mrmike 04-23-2012 02:03 AM

yeah they seem to have more technology than the KYBs. Some places list them as monotube, but that can't be right, right?

fisdad 04-24-2012 08:57 PM

I installed my load resistors today to fix that stupid hyperflashing.

DJx79x 04-25-2012 01:12 AM

I installed my CAI today

mrmike 04-25-2012 02:12 AM

cut, sanded, painted and reinstalled my damaged driver side rocker panel molding to get it ready for the wheel alignment tomorrow. Cancelled my order of AGX struts from shox.com, going with Monroe I guess.
