Well since basicly everybody is backing out now, the prebuy is only open untill July 24th when the kit will be done. Also for those who are doubting I will be making this myself and to be ready by Hot Import Nights Chicago so since its my priority now itll be done I guarantee that. Once I start molding it myself I will be cashing the prebuy money orders so there is no going back after i begin because this will help me pay for the materials that i need to make it and get the molds duplicated. I will post up when the Molding has begun which most likely will be around July 10th after the system 7 show in WI.

Here is the way pricing will be and this kit will be very limited.

Those who are in the prebuy and stay in the prebuy will remain with the price I agreed on in the beginning.

* Currently prebuy - $900 (2) $450 payments)

* My list of people and those who backed out of prebuy and still want to get it - $1000 (1 payment)

* Now here is the catch, since I am not mass marketing this kit these sales will be determined by me because I do not want everybody to have this kit and kill its origionality. This price is for those who want it because they've seen it and I will work with you on a person to person basis. This price is for everybody else who is not prebuy or on my list. - $1500.

Reason for the normal person price being so high is because nobody but a select few helped me try to get this kit made in the last 2 years ive been busting my ass trying to get it made and been screwed by alot of people. Those who want "I want to see it first" well you now can see it first but the price goes with it. You know what it looks like so thats the way it is.

Ive already sent back 4 preorders back within the last 2 weeks so the bodykit.org thing is mostly dead because of lack of intrest. To those who do get the kit I hope you enjoy it because its about a month away.

Hey I'm still trying to get the cash saved up. This car selling buisiness is not making as much as I hoped it would. I hope the bonus money I'm getting from GM this month will cover the purchase of the kit.

Silentalero 06-21-2004 11:28 PM

Silentalero 07-13-2004 10:45 AM

yea to bad im almsot gonna have to front to cost for supply since everybody backed out :(

Final-Reality 07-13-2004 12:48 PM

EVERYBODY backed out? I thought you had like 6 or 7 pre-buys?

Silentalero 07-13-2004 12:55 PM

yea i did, i think im down to about 2 now..but that was because personal things came up and i can understand that. Sometimes u cant have $450 out in the open. But everybody who wanted it back got it back already.

but either way the kit is getting made and then there will not be anymore prebuy prices

ptrudel 07-13-2004 12:56 PM

Silentalero 07-13-2004 01:33 PM

its gonna be ready for sale soon, but read back a lil bit, im gonna be picky on who actually gets this kit. Its not gonna get mass produced

ptrudel 07-13-2004 01:33 PM

that's good tho...cuz u don't want millions of OSV's runnin around

jackal2000 07-13-2004 01:50 PM

marc if you need my other half of the money just lemme know. that way you wont have to front so much.

Silentalero 07-13-2004 01:56 PM

ok, yea i might actually have to for supplies mainly, my time i could care less about...that i got alotta time...plus with juggling 2 cars now it just made $$ tighter.

Hey there Silent. (and all). I may have missed it, I tried looking through the 13 pages of this topic (lol), but....

What kind of work will this entail as far as installation? I mean, will your parts be replacement pieces for the factory ones, or do they cover the factory parts?

I see the deadline is soon, so I'll try and balance the book (always got those real life issues going on, hehe) and let ya know if I can gather the cash, assuming there are still spaces available. On that date will you be wanting the first $450 or the whole $900?

Since the day I saw that OSV I've wanted to 're-make' it, as best possible. As you know, many of the parts are not even comercially made, of course the body kit included. I've got a host of links of places that make this or that, but too much of the puzzle is/was missing.

I don't know you, but I do know (via photos) some of your incarnations of Aftermath. On a personal note, whether I can buy in now, or (hopefully) you/they/whoever continue to make the kit available, I want to give you a huge thanks for going through all the hard work and trouble of making the kit in the first place. After seeing your work, it did suprise me that you would spend so much time on something, that while is ultra-sleek, is quite tame / mundane to your creativity. I hope it'll continue to be available if I can't partake in it at this time (and the others, as well!) You commented that you don't want too many of them around. While I understand that, in my area (NE Ohio) there aren't ANY fx'ed kitted Alero's running around. I've seen only one in with my eyes, and that was in PA. My point is that it's not like everyone with an Alero will be buying one. But it would be nice if the people down the road who want to OSV look could still have the chance. I know, not my work, not my decision, just thought I'd throw that out there.

Rooster
