you know my chevy blazer key looks exactly the same except for the chevy and olds symbol but i made sure they were the right key :-)

try turning the steering wheel a bit while turning the key lightly not to break it, sometimes it locks up and you can't turn the key.

After this happened to me last summer, the only thing attached to my ignition key is a clip so I can take my others keys off. I never believed that lots of keys would do something like this, but I do now.

Same thing happened to me. Had to have the dealer change out the ignition lock cylinder. $400 not to mention the $40 tow charge.
