Well I would have prefered a twin screw, but I still love the fact that the supercharger kit is almost a bolt on. |
I could fab up the new TVS system from Eaton if someone wants to buy me the supercharger.. lol. Four lobes, 160 degree twist... nice.
![]() The MP45 is suited well to what most require. I have no doubts one can run in the high 12s with it (well modded engine, nitrous, meth, radials, etc) |
does the secret cams works with the supercharge?
|
yes a lot of people run them with the blower, any bigger cams will help out

And yes, the secret cams would go well with the supercharger. |
anybody running the GM S/C kit will not get 12's.........
ya'll bitchin about gas prices... at least you're not spending $6 a gallon for 100octane. :) |
I guess I'll have to prove you wrong.. lol.
But I'm fabricating an MP62 FMIC capable manifold and outlet soon so I might not. |
I respect that you're building up the engine the right way, but I'm going to have to agree with Spy on this one. The M45 simply can't flow enough to make the power to run 12's, running drag slicks or not.
The M62 idea sounds like a good one. I'd like to see how that turns out for you. |
It doesn't matter what the MP45 can or can't do, a ton of nitrous and meth and tuning and you can hit it no problem... I don't intend to have "just a supercharger" getting me good times...
|
Mixing all kinds of power adders/chemicals means a greater chance of blowing something up. By all means, if that's what you want to do, go for it.
I'll stick with "just a turbo" and get better times than you :p |

so then you wouldn't prove me wrong as you're adding another poweradder to the mix. The most power you'll get out of that supercharger on the car I would say on the high power side would be 250-270ish... and that's w/ a manual tranny. Not enough to get you into the 12's. |
you said anyone running the GM supercharger kit won't get 12s... i'm still running the GM supercharger kit if I use methanol and nitrous as well... so my post remains valid.
:p |
haha touchet

come on think w/ a level head. By adding another power adder you're suddenly not just running the GM S/C kit. It doesn't have the oomph to support 12's, or bigger numbers that's required. Besides the moment you start adding bigger injectors and modifying the tune you're technically not running the kit anymore but a hybridized version of it, which in essence means you're not running the GM S/C kit. Sell the kit, get a GT30, an intercooler that supports 400hp and git 'er done easy. |
I don't really have the desire to hit 12s, just 13s, which is pretty easy to do. And I like superchargers.
|
for those with the 99 2.4 remember there is a sticky about the 99 to a 00 swap on here read up on it and you can install your charger on a 99.

turbochargers are more versatile. |
|
just curious...what kind of ballpark cost would one be looking at for a reflash, if they aren't getting the free one offered by Pace?
|
the reflash is not free even though it says it's included in the supercharger price. it's whatever the dealership wants to charge you. it cost me $88 to get it.
