alright. brining up a dead post here... i tried a search and this is the closest i got to what i want to know. i have 99 2dr WITHOUT keyfobs from the factory, what id like to know is if the wiring harnes has the connectors for the RCDLR between the rear speakers. im hoping to fund an RCDLR out of anohter car and hopfuly only have to plug it in and reprogram the bcm. anyone have any input?

I have a 1999 4 door that has power locks, but did not come with the remote lock feature. I thought I would just get the transceiver, plug it in, and program the fobs. No luck, in my car there is no connection for the transceiver (which is located under the rear speaker deck). So, I wimped out, got a remote car starter installed, and now have the remote door lock feature from it to use.

I have a 1999 GLS sedan and I have keyless entry.

did you pull up the speaker shelf cover or just look in from the trunk? |

Both. I found where it mounts, and even mounted it, but there was no plug for it. |

Sorry to bring up an old thread, that I'm sure is beat to death. I got this 03 alero in the spring, it has the module under the rear deck lid. I don't have the code for keyless entry but have power locks.
Is it possible to have the keyless programed with a tech II so I could have this feature? |
Is it the rcdlr or the monsoon amp ur seeing?

Monsoon amp is mounted in a bracket between the trunk liner and drivers side rear quarter panel. If it is on the deck it would have to be the rcdlr, assuming by rear deck lid he is referring to the carpet piece over the speakers. |
My 99 has keyless entry, according to the dealership.

LMFAO Really dude? That's not even the topic on the dead thread. 2003 should have had the keyless standard, although it's pretty common to lose those remotes. My Camaro only came with one. AFAIK, you could program the remote without a Tech2. |

I tried to program the remotes I found at the pull a part, with several methods I found on here but nothing worked. They should be the right remotes by checking the numbers with ebay descriptions and from on this sight. Since this was an avis rental and it doesn't have the rpo code for keyless, I was hoping maybe it was included in the rental package. |

That's strange, you would think rental cars weren't stripped out of stuff like that. I could see that happening with fleet cars (popo, fire response, etc), but it comes off as rather odd that it doesn't have it. Can you take a picture of the box you're seeing? |
