I always set my parking brake even in an automatic as well. The parking pawl isn't really designed to take a ton of stress if you park on a hill.

it depends on what kit you use, what shocks/ struts you use/ where you buy or if you decide to put it on airbags.

I have no clue on any of that stuff you said.
