ok i guess i forgot to say that this has nothing to do with my speakers.someone just thought that is what i was talking about and i never corrected them for it.the sound is from the belt and the speakers are fine.
i also changed the ac pump and still the same im running out of options.
Why are you replacing all the most expensive stuff first? Do you wanna spend thousands only to find out that it was a $15 idler pulley?
AC Pump? Do you mean the compressor?
So you spent $160 on a alternator, $800 on an AC Compressor, without knowing what the problem is in the first place  Why do you take it to a mech's shop and find the problem and fix it right without throwing money at it |

Good point. How many miles on the car? Idlers don't last forever, esp those plastic ones ;) |
i already had them lying around the shop so i decided to swap them.
135000 miles on the engine
Stop, put down the wrenchs, buy an idler/tensioner.
$40 for the entire unit (LA1/3400 price) |
i have one of those also so ill try it tomorrow
Tensioner should be replaced at that milage anyway, but I wonder if the belt you have is too small, that would explain the squeaking.
I know about the tensioner, mine melted and cut the belt in half. The car still ran fine, but it wasn't going to run that way for long. |
i bought it at napa auto parts and this is what they said fit
