hmmm seems very expensive, lol so I am probably going to be buying stuff one at a time and accumulate it over the next year but im keepin you in mind haha =]

AleroDrime 06-16-2009 11:19 PM

i gotta ask, are manuals faster in a straight line, ive always been told they were because you could control the shift point?

RisenequinoX 06-16-2009 11:52 PM

AEM UEGO wideband gauge/sensor = $190-$290
HPTuners = around $500
Turbocharger = Wide price range... lol
Wastegate = $230-$995 depending on size and model
custom exhaust/turbo manifold = would the pacesetter i showed you earlier qualify? and for turbo manifold, what about the performance series from wot-tech?
downpipe flange = about $20
downpipe = custom made?
braided oil lines with fittings = $15 per foot
charge piping = custom made?
couplings and t-bolt clamps for pipes = ?
blow-off valve = $275
fuel injectors = what size?
intercooler = $1,000 - $2,500

thats a pretty steep list, i'm going to do some searching and see if there are really any fullkits on the market but i doubt it.

EDIT: it took a while to do that research lol

Your pricing is way off. There are no "kits" made for this car either. You'll need to do some serious research in what all the parts are and what you need to understand what you want to do.

AEM UEGO wideband gauge/sensor = $220

HPTuners = $500

Turbocharger = $400-500 for a decent sized one for the V6 (mine was $180)

Wastegate = $225 for TiAL 38mm (what I have, but if you have an internal wastegate on the turbo you don't need this, it's just nice to have a more reliable, larger wastegate)
custom exhaust/turbo manifold = all custom up to the cat. pricing wide range.

downpipe = custom made, pricing varies

braided oil lines with fittings = depends on what you buy. SS line is expensive, AN fittings are like $10/piece. i bought an eBay kit for like $40 but you get what you pay for and I ended up buying quite a few stronger AN fittings

charge piping = get a kit off ebay for $90, comes with a lot of bends, you just cut and weld as needed.

couplings and t-bolt clamps for pipes = www.siliconeintakes.com you won't know pricing til you know your charge piping necessities

blow-off valve = $45 for a GReddy RS clone (uses GReddy internals, housing is knockoff, no big deal)

fuel injectors = size depends on what you want, but they're usually cheap if you get them made from another car that has bigger ones stock (like for us LD9 guys we can use the Cobalt SS/SC ones and get them for like $30-100 total)

intercooler = $1,000 - $2,500 <-- LOL not sure where the hell you got this, but the CXRacing eBay ones are decent and are around $100. most name brand ones are around $400 but there's really no need to get a high end intercooler unless you realllllly need to extract those extra couple degrees of cooling... because there isn't much difference between the name brand and CXRacing

Dude. It's preferential. You tune the automatic to shift at the exact moment it should. If the car isn't making any more power at a higher shift point there's no reason to shift then. Autos can shift faster than any manual can, but they suck out some more power on the way to the wheels than a manual does.

Seriously, GOOGLE. Auto vs. Manual. Not that hard. It's an age old debate. Get whatever you want.

RisenequinoX 06-17-2009 12:49 AM

lol so this is actually not as bad as i was bashing
my head off of my desk doing this.

haha so all i need is to buy all this somehow learn how
to weld and all that good stuff or find someone that
can help me and i could possibly have a beast? lol

[ion] C2 06-17-2009 12:51 AM

Yup make friends with a welder or learn, the parts are cheap, it's labor that kills you.

RisenequinoX 06-17-2009 12:53 AM

i have a few contacts in my list.
this is just so fun hahaha

you could have a beast with a different car for a lot cheaper and get more power return to your dollar :p

for the vast majority...no...
