Always a choice. I paid extra for my arts plate because I like it. I could have gone with a Purdue plate to match, but I put that on my cavalier. I'm sure you could have gotten a Butler or ISU plate or even the environment plate to keep your blue theme...Don't be cheap! lol |
i could care less about a plate look, ill just get a custom letter one at some point.
parking was 2 days was 20$ and one more day was 5$ lol for parking |

That's messed up... I thought the Bicentennial plate was optional. TBT, I liked the blue one better than the current one they have. Quote:
I never knew that. I thought states with nothing better to do did that... like New York or Illinois - both which are known to do that. Quote:
To me, a plate sets off the car's look. Even the serial can make a car look bad....I know people in Maryland that get optional tags because they feel that the "WAR OF 1812" tag ruins the look of their car. I personally hate the standard VA plates and I dislike the flat DC plates. |
i mean, i had a choice, but i just get the cheapest sht lol its a playe itll be changed again in a few years, this one lights up better at night too with the LED plate light lol

That still isn't bad for 3 days lol. I know there is a lot in downtown Nashville that charges $20 to park for one day. Quote:
Yeah man states like Indiana change theirs every 4-5 years and Nebraska changes theirs every 5-6 years. Then you've got states like Delaware that have been using the same license plates since 1969. Illinois has been using the same license plates since 2001 and I don't care much for the blue and gold plates that New York issues now. I liked the blue and white ones better. I agree with you on the Virginia plates though. They're just too plain imo. I did like the Jamestown ones they offered as an alternative for a few years though. |
20$ jesus..... not even worth it!
|
Yeah man and granted it is close to Bridgestone Arena where the Predators play and a lot of concerts are held, but still. You could feed the meter for the time you were there and still pay less. We did find a lot over by the new Riverfront rail station they built for the Music City Star commuter rail that charges only $5 to park and all you have to do is walk an extra 3 blocks.
|
That's not terrible but how much are they for ones deep in downtown? Just 20?
|
I found a garage down there that charged $10, but yeah the normal was $15-$20 depending on the lot.
|
crazy, people will pay anything though.
|
This is true.
