That's what I love about the g/f. No more coming home to a cold bed at 4am after a 12 hour shift. She's like a heater

sleepyalero 01-22-2015 07:02 AM

For some reason that sentence sounded gross to me kenny lol

Redog 01-23-2015 01:44 AM

Don't hate ;)

Nope. Once it is done it will only be driven locally. Too much money and rare parts.

Beside I have driven every year but the last year.

This thing has turned into a showcar. Wasn't the original idea but oh well.

sleepyalero 01-25-2015 08:53 PM

You can still drive a show car. ;)

tw0123 01-25-2015 10:15 PM

Fair enough... i can see the investment and understand why you'd limit the use... mine will be a driver but i have no where near the same investment in mine...

I want to agree but after getting those skirts on its not worth the potential to hit that hidden pot hole and well, toast.

Oldsman 01-27-2015 08:12 PM

I hit a pot hole the rockers are the least of my worries. the rims are the worse, not to mention the brakes and the suspension. but yes after all the money and time you have to be careful.

sleepyalero 01-27-2015 09:38 PM

Agreed.

tw0123 01-27-2015 10:00 PM

So true on that... i wish there was some miracle that i could find a set of those wheels to finish my replica... that's really the last thing i really want for my car....

That01Olds 01-31-2015 02:07 PM

Go ahead and put my name on the list to attend this year. Alero or not as long as I can take leave that weekend, I'll be there.

sleepyalero 01-31-2015 02:14 PM

Sweet!!!

That01Olds 02-01-2015 03:14 PM

Yeah man!

sleepyalero 02-01-2015 03:58 PM

I like seeing the interest of more people coming. Im trying to get my car into shape for the show.

03glgold 02-01-2015 04:35 PM

We'll see how the old girl is doing at that point, she is doing decent right now, better than she was earlier in the month. Either this summer or next summer I plan on replacing her, most likely with another Alero. If this summer the money will go to buying a car instead of going to Michigan.

Yeah, I went in 2010 back when I still had my Alero. That was the year Andy had to wear his neck brace and I got to see the Beast for the first time. So I figure after 5 years it's time to make the trip again lol. I know it was a great time when I went then and I'm sure it will be another great time this year.

sleepyalero 02-01-2015 09:55 PM

Yeah, i dont think i was there in 10'.

Last year there was.... About 5 of us. But we didnt care, andy, ion, me, parker, papa all went there.

This year should have a few more people. But last year we kinda just went with the flow and just hung out, no go karts, no cook out or anything like that. But was a good time, always nice to take a vacation.

Papa Rad17 02-02-2015 04:30 PM

Indeed! regardless of not doing those extra activities. I had to get tires and brakes anyway. 09 was ryan's 'alero garage' and nate and I had mine half ripped apart last year, along with a terrifying journey. always been a great time the 2 years I have been able to make it. I plan on actually showing mine this year to. I'll be waxing it every time a spec of dust falls on it like everyone else  speaking of which the olds show and swap meet are cool as well. looking forward to it!

Babyblue 02-02-2015 08:42 PM

yeah I need a new motor before I go to this homecoming lol. Under 50,000 miles and I already seem to have messed it up. "note to self: DO NOT downshift into 2nd gear when going 75mph." I hit probably 8 grand in the rpm range even tho we top out at 7 grand. The gear ratio is what made it rev that high.

Papa Rad17 02-02-2015 09:56 PM

need to get ya speed lockout for 2nd gear too it sounds like. how bad?
