Bmorezcmunee 12-15-2008 05:50 PM

ive got a guy also who want BS you. he works mainly on mustangs (he has about 5 himself, not including his sons mustangs). hes definitely a good performance guy. i live in the Randallstown area right off of 695. PM ill give u his number

-Alero- 12-16-2008 05:20 PM

well i just tried one last dealership near by and they say all my numbers look fine on the Tech II scanner, but they said they dont know whats wrong with it, they were stumped, which leads me to believe its a mechanical problem. something a master scanner cant pick up.

im assuming here but only assuming, that its possibly something in my valvetrain, possibly an over torqued pushrod stud, or mix matched rockers and intake with intake pushrods or exhaust with exhaust pushrods mixmatched...

im not sure its just a hunch....but yeah im gonna definetly contact bmorezcmunee's tech first, see what info i can go from there, and then i might move to redogs tech next.

this isnt gonna be some walk in the park if im gonna strecth this far from home i might need a place to stay since i highly doubt its just a problem thats easily found, and since its so close to christmas im pretty sure it will be hard to find someone

Let me know if you do decied to make the trip, I'll let my guy know ;)

You can stop by my place, but I don't have the room for an overnight, esp wit the baby. You can ask Mitch to confirm that one

The rockers are interchangeable. That should not make a difference.

slvralero420 12-17-2008 03:43 PM

rockers are but pushrods are different between exhaust and intake. if they were mixed up tho you would know. at kleast one cyclder would be dead and the pushrod would be bent. unless the car is running horribly, it shouldn't be pushrod related.

alerored04 12-17-2008 11:00 PM

If it were mixed pushrods the thing wouldn't run.

-Alero- 12-18-2008 05:18 PM

i know im not saying intakes with exhausts, im saying exhausts with exhausts or intakes with intakes, cause the engine is going to wear a specific way and no cylinder is going to have the exact same wear as the other.

jackal2000 12-18-2008 05:31 PM

i think your latest theory is bogus.

alerored04 12-18-2008 06:49 PM

I agree. I always just dump my rockers in a pile when I disassemble. Has never caused an issue. Is all your injector wiring ok? I had one corrode causing a terrible idle and severe miss while driving.

-Alero- 12-18-2008 07:21 PM

sigh i dont have the time or the garage to take apart my top end.... and i start my new job january 5th......i stranded on what to do

i want to take my car in to one of the suggested mechanics but who knows how long that will take and i dont have a place to sleep

slvralero420 12-18-2008 08:08 PM

have you checked your sensors(TPS, IAT, IAC, Ect.) one of them could be faulty. had a friend that went through 3 TPS with a situation simialiar to yours before it went away.

-Alero- 12-18-2008 10:26 PM

cleaned the tps a few times, new IAT new knock sensor, tech 2 scanner said my iac was fine

Well I know of a few cheap hotels just outside Philly in Bensalem, PA, but they are "eff Shops" but at $29 a night.

Just a thought
