It does look like its been toasted but I don't know. I've seen them go right in the middle of a contest though. That can't be reflection though cause the flash would have eliminated that. Might be overspray if these are a batch that they have just for sponsorships or something. With the power he's giving them..I can't see any issues if the equipment is top shape.

Its a sad world they line in.

Thats why Im not a big on the SPL comps. 98% of the installs look to be done by Chimps...
It is a hobby just like anything else lol. The reason why installs look like that is because we are changing out our installs every week.

Ryan from Ohio 02-19-2009 04:52 PM

not always true

xsavyor1 02-19-2009 06:08 PM

That is a reflection of my head sorry. the sides are a shiny chrome.

No matter who the manufacture is when a product fails, It is usually user error. for example not enough battery supply and voltage drop and poof amp blows. Or in spl contests the voltage drop is huge and they run the amps well below manufacture impedance recomandations.

How many of these do you think I have?

lonnie 02-19-2009 08:31 PM

Looking good I have seen alot of crossfire amps paired with 12" DD's and 15" DD's w/custom boxes. Saw a guy burp 142 with a VR100D Crossfire, and a 12" DD in a ported custom box in a honda...Don't know what freq he was at but he killing them. More pics!!

What type of amp rack are you going to do?

nice, that sounds like a hell of a system. Keep us updated man

when tyler and i were into spl we didn't fuse. only way to go. hell even had a couple amps where we replaced fuses with 10ga wire cause we kept poppin em, cause we ran like 1/4ohm.

xsavyor1 02-20-2009 05:57 PM

Yea, some do that I dont because mine is a loud daily driver that plays music, and not just a burp

what size are those?

Ryan from Ohio 03-09-2009 07:38 PM

Lonnie, when ports have solid objects to close to them it does affect the tuning some.

Yeah I was figuring that, I guess with that amount of power it will still be bad ass.

xsayvor1 - are you going to face the port toward the front with the seats down when all is said and done? What is the port tuned for?

xsavyor1 03-10-2009 10:47 PM

The sub fire up, and the ports fire back. There is about 6"-8" from the ports to the tailgate. More than enough room for the box to "vent".

xsavyor1 03-10-2009 10:48 PM

It is tuned for 40 hz and peaks at 50 hz.

FrankTheTank 03-11-2009 09:07 AM

looks like a badass setup. make sure to take some pics at SBN. I went back in 2003 and it was amazing, my ears were ringing for a long time after that.

MattismodderX 03-12-2009 11:32 AM
