of corse i can, i have to finish scot`s car first then i can do your kit
and yes it was test fitted and need repairs were null and void on the front bumper just allot of sanding, i did fix the ripples by the headlights, for my own personal taste
just gotta fill some pinholes sand it prime it one last time and ready for paint
but first on to the rear bumper........................updates as we go along

update......................

_01Alero_ 05-01-2009 03:25 PM

very nice looks like it is coming along quite nicely...
Sorry if this has been asked before, but are you getting all this done before a.s.s. this year? Im sure those are the hopes, but didn't know if it was realistic at this point to think it will be there...

kwhauck 05-01-2009 03:39 PM

i'm pretty sure that is his plan..

Me too, me too
But I just wondered if it was still in the helm of reality for it to be done in that time... I guess I'm more or less asking at this stage in the process are things still on track to be done by a.s.s.... Sorry if the question was worded wrong...
Cause it would be awesome to see!

kwhauck 05-01-2009 03:57 PM

you under estimate bdyman..

_01Alero_ 05-01-2009 03:58 PM

No, I just know how much work goes into these kind of things... Maybe some people under estimate the amount of work it takes to get things done...In the correct and perfectionist kind of way that bdyman im sure has...

kwhauck 05-01-2009 03:59 PM

i'm sure chris can handle it, even if it means pulling some all nighters...

_01Alero_ 05-01-2009 04:00 PM

Agreed...

Either way, looks real good so far. Sorry to crap up the thread.... Can't wait to see more pics of progress.

Oldsman 05-01-2009 04:32 PM

the bumper will be done for ASS. the side skirts are still waiting to be fixed by bodykits (the best way to do it). the wing won't be on either. we are going to put studs in it and bolt it on which is for the best. We just started the rear bumper and there is A LOT of work to do on that thing.

bdyman 05-01-2009 07:35 PM

so far i have 5 days into the front bumper and its ready for the final coat of primer, we started on the rear bumper and like scot said it needs ALLOT of work, what you see are just clamps holding the bumper in shape

i had to reshape the rear bumper with my heat gun and got it REAL REAL HOT, clamped put heavy objects on the rear cover so it maintains shape, the wing well i wont comment on that right now

and yes the front and rear bumpers will be done before lansing i have plenty of time to do my thing to it
updates as we go along

joserivas19 05-01-2009 08:10 PM

looks great. alot better than what mine is. i wish there was a shop here that was willing to work on my kit to fix it.

bdyman 05-01-2009 11:13 PM

iam sure there is ya just have to look around

joserivas19 05-02-2009 11:28 AM

all there is here in my town is repair shops and they wont do it. i have tried seattle and no luck. the only one is in portland 3.5 hours away. and i dont feel like leaving my car again after the bad bodykits experience.

bdyman 05-02-2009 11:00 PM

i dont blame you at all, its coming out real nice too just a shame what happened to you, if you were closer i would do it for you

joserivas19 05-03-2009 01:42 AM

yeah, i know. that would be nice. we'll see what happens with aldo and the bumper issue.

well Aldo said if you pay for shipping of old bumper back and new bumper out you can get a new bumper. But he did say he could not guarantee 100% fixed on the rear.

bdyman 05-03-2009 07:41 AM

oh i guarantee 100% fix on the rear cover

joserivas19 05-03-2009 12:46 PM

yeah, i know he said that. it just ridiculous he wants us to pay for shipping when it was their mistake. plus, my car was the donor car and they still messed it up while the car was there.

Oldsman 05-03-2009 01:50 PM

it's basically like this.....since the bumper will actually fit on the car then they won't work with us anymore. now they should do something for your car being they NEVER actually fitted the kit on your car. they just jammed it on and there you go.

Oldsman 05-05-2009 04:04 PM

I was informed today that my finance dept has ordered no more OSV update pics. If you want to see it bring your butts to ASS.

Sorry..............send complaints to.............Old'swife

AlbinoMonkeyRat 05-05-2009 04:15 PM

sounds like you got primer....or even the gold paint on the bumpers already (or at least have painting scheduled)

-Alero- 05-05-2009 07:23 PM

i still cant believe i havent gotten my bodykit yet.

Oldsnut 05-05-2009 08:36 PM

They will not ship until whatever they are fixing is fixed. This is also the wrong thread to post a comment like that. This is about Scots kit and what bdyman is doing to fix there screw-ups

-Alero- 05-05-2009 10:03 PM

they have like 4 threads about the one scott has. i was simply looking at his and thinking to my self, wow i wonder why i dont have mine.

Wasn't your kit damaged? Did you file paperwork with the shipping company?

bdyman 05-06-2009 02:12 AM

yes the finance company has shut us down sorry no more updates until homecoming, you have to see it there only

PappaSmurf 05-06-2009 03:24 AM

Damnit Oldsman and Bdyman,
I was getting all excited looking into this and yall go and shoot me down. LOL
I guess that since the wifey put the brakes on this, I will have to understand. Can't wait till homecoming though.

Alerosaint 05-06-2009 09:37 AM

thats ok...Ill use google earth to check in at the progress...lol

bdyman 05-06-2009 12:11 PM

we put a black tarp over the garage

black00gt1 05-06-2009 12:19 PM

google earth is like realllly old pic i herd 2 years so you'r looking @ 2007 lolol

Oldsman 05-06-2009 12:59 PM

just a FYI..........quality of rear bumper is not close to the front bumper. it is wavy as shit and we had quite a bit of heating and reshaping. For those of you with the kit be prepared to put a lot a lot money in the rear bumper to have it done right. If you body shop doesn't block and reshape back by the trunk and the tailight area on the passenger side, oh don't forget the side of the bumper of the driver side it will end up looking like shit.

bdyman 05-06-2009 05:01 PM

yes guys its true the rear bumper is so warped and it took allot of heat, to fix the warping, not to mention the lumpy fiberglass bottom line anyone who takes this kit to a shop will be dumping ALLOT of money to make it fit and look decent
